Cats return home for five game homestand starting Wednesday

The winning streak couldn’t get beyond one.
The Lloydminster Bobcats hit the road this past weekend for a pair of games against North Division opponents, coming off a victory to end October.
On Saturday, a visit to Whitecourt got away from them in the third period, as a 2-2 tie four minutes into the final period turned into a 5-3 loss when the Wolverines scored three goals in five minutes to put themselves out in front.
On Sunday they went to Fort Saskatchewan for a neutral site game against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
Another three goal period, however, would put the Bobcats down 3-1 after the first period of play.
Goals would be traded in the second period, and the Bobcats could only get one back in the third, as Brady Barclay made it a one goal game on the power play with just under two minutes to play.
Sherwood Park would hang on for the victory, as the Bobcats come home with zero points over the weekend.
Lloydminster will get a rematch against the Wolverines on Wednesday as they start a five game homestand.
They will welcome the Calgary Mustangs and Drumheller Dragons to the Civic Centre this weekend on Friday and Saturday.
All games are 7:30 p.m. puck drops.
The Bobcats currently have a 2-14-1 record in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, and currently sit in last place in the North Division.
With 17 games currently played, a third of the season will be completed by the end of the weekend.
One bright spot for the Bobcats has been Zach Kaiser, who currently has an active eight game point streak.
Kaiser has four goals and four assists in that span.
