On May 26 at the Lloydminster Public Library, author Rebecca Grambo will hold a writing workshop titled From Brain to Page.
The workshop is being put on by Lloydminster Writers Ink and the Saskatchewan Writers Guild, and co-ordinator Ted Haas said the cost is $40 for non-members.
“If someone is interested in perhaps trying to start a story or just interested in seeing if they would like to write because maybe they never have, but they’ve had some interest in it,” he said over the phone on Friday.
“Maybe seniors who are interested in doing something with their memoirs for the families, as well as high school students who have a creative urge and want to try to take that to the next level. This would be a good place to start.”
The workshop runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature a number of exercises to help you get your ideas onto the page.
Grambo, the author of 26 non-fiction books, gives a number of workshops similar to this and says it’s rather intensive.
